MediaMVP as Linvdr "Remote TV"

Hi,

after getting this wonderful peace  of software to run, i wonder if it might be possible and not too complicated to extend
vompserver by a new feature:

for now, vompserver creates its  own "services" , like watch tv, watch a redorded tv program,  listen to SAT-Radio.
How about redirect the signal, that comes out of a fulll featured SAT-Card to the MediaMVP ?
That would mean, to be able to use all available plugins, like watch pictures, DVDs, listen  to web-radio, etc.

Sorry for my english,  i  hope you understand  what i  mean. Do you think, this is possible  ?

Hi Peter,

this idea is not new, Dominic Morris (the developer of the original mediamvp-plugin for vdr) has testet that. I think it is still in the sources ("mvp"-plugin, not "mediamvp"). The disadvantage of this solution is, that you can just have one mediamvp. I have 4 mediamvps working simultaneously here...
