I miss in the vompclient the possibility to mark watched recordings as watched, like native vdr-clients. I discussed this with Marten some times ago here:

the git is polluted with source code in DOS format. This looks very crappy in git and vim:

Sorry, you need also a second bool to indicate, if the isnew flag was previously loaded.
Your current implementation reloads the info every time.

I think reloading is prevented by loadRecInfo(). Plz have a look into it.

Ok, I had a look into vdr source code and there the resume position will also be used for marking unwatched recordings.  I attached a git patch, which displays an asterisk behind all unwatched recordings. Marten, I hope you will accept it.

Ok, I'm willing to implement this. Is the information whether a recording is watched or not, available on the client side?
I hope the protocal does not have to change.

it seems that vompclient does not mark or display recordings as watched in any way. This is a little bit annoying, because a have a lot of recordings for my kids and I can't distinguish between watched and unwatched recordings. Is this a bug or a missing feature?

Will not be implemented. In the end vomp will run in the end 24 h a day like on the mvp and only turn on and off the tv signal.
So there will be no need for saving this.

Are you sure this is the usecase for everybody? I'm using rpi with vompclient in my bedroom and I dont want to have a blinking Raspi the whole time. TV and Raspi are switched off by Steckerleiste. Yes, the raspi has less power consuption, but I think it's energy wasting to run it 24/7.

This problem is not limited to epg data, all string are cut of. E.g recording names.

I'm not 100% sure, but this problem is related to MLD. My own build vompclient seems to work fine with raspbian.
