Everyone is happy so far... me too, the new OSD is great! And no need for any reboot...

@Marten: My Vomp for windows doesn't work, I see "Locating Server", then "Connecting to Server" and then gets stuck.
The debug-Version you've provided before was working without any problems. Any idea?

If someone continued cutting marks support, this is really missing with a "headless" vdr server... ;D

@Marten: So far, so good! No problems!

@Chris: My MVP is now running for more than 5 days without problems!
The only issue I see is the "out of center" OSD (channel number is touching the left border), eg. after channel switching or after hitting "OK", but on the windows client it is perfectly centered.

Cheers

@knutty: I think the log file is not created, you should create an empty file for it with write access to vdr...

Hi Marten,
could you consider to post an actual version of the windows client?

Half an hour heavy switching, no freeze! Great work!

Hi Chris,
its hard now to provoke the freeze, but still possible, and once in a while it happens just with one switch to the next channel while watching...
Here is my log...

I still have freezes; I'll try to send a new log tonight...

@Chris: I've tried the actual version with your dongle, and indeed it is much better, but occasionally freezes...
Was it just Marten's patch? Maybe I did something wrong while compiling before with his changes...

And I see a cosmetical issue: The writing of the OSD is touching the left side of the screen, the first number of the channel number is cut (also to see on 5:4 picture on 16:9 screen)

Will your patch differentiate between the old and the new remote?

@Chris: I've attached two logs, vomp-1.log is with Avdr's patch till the freeze, vomp-2.log is with your plain dongle, also till the freeze... but I don't see nothing special...

@Andreas: Your patch helps indeed, but it is not perfect. I can do a lot channel switching, but occasionally it freezes again.

@Chris: you are right, the number is going down to 0 again.

One point: For the freezing I do not  have to do heavy channel switching, it also happens occasionally when I just switch to the next channel after a while; if I do heavy switching it happens for shure...
