Hi together,

my mvp has a problme with the DHCP, I see the DHCPDISCOVER and DHCPOFFER but no DHCPREQUEST and no DHCPACK in the messages log. Means that the mvp is broken or has anyone another idea what could be the reason for that?

Thanks for help

Hi,

is it possible to connect an IR remote controller with USB to the RPI and controll the vomp client? And when must it be a special controller, and how i have to configure that?

thanks for your reply.
No, it is the version 0.3.1. Could that be the reason for the problem? And if, is it possible to update the vompserver without overwriting the conf files? I use more MVPs.

Hi,

one of my MVPs ist not starting till the menu is comming. The other MVPs are OK. The Rev is H4 Lot 4307. The device get the IP Adress from the DHCP server:

Mar 14 20:33:00 firewall dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:0d:fe:37:f4:e6 via eth0
Mar 14 20:33:00 firewall dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.112.45 to 00:0d:fe:37:f4:e6 via eth0
Mar 14 20:33:00 firewall dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.112.45 (192.168.112.19) from 00:0d:fe:37:f4:e6 via eth0
Mar 14 20:33:00 firewall dhcpd: DHCPACK on 192.168.112.45 to 00:0d:fe:37:f4:e6 via eth0

and then it starts with booting, and I see the following log file:

The device is comming up till I can choose the vdr server, and after that there ist comming " contacting servers "

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,

I have made a new installation with ubuntu 10.04, vdr 1.7.22, vompserver 0.3.1 with a TechnoTrend Premium S2-6400 Twin DVB-S2, after that I have now function at the arrow keys on my remote. In the TV menu I can select over the numbers in front off the channels, but in the recordings list I can only select the 1. one in the list on each page. If I push one key on the remote I can see the incomming signal on the MVP, the red light is flashing. The remote is OK, I have tested it on the direct connected vdr.

What could be the reason for  that failure?
