Anyone else having issues?  Vomp compiles fine and all, but when I boot the MediaMVP it just hangs at connecting to server.  Something change on CVS that I am missing?  Or is it just me hehe!  Will keep troubleshooting prob something I changed and forgot but thought I would throw the question out there.

Thanks

VOMP General / MVP / Anyway to lock channels?
December 28, 2005, 04:21:04
Just curious if there was any way or possibly a feature request to have the ability to lock channels.  That would just add to the MVP Capability is to be able to put a parental lock so you could put the device in kids rooms etc.  I know there is an old unmaintained lock plugin for vdr, might have to work on getting it going, but was wondering if there would just be a way to incorporate it directly into vomp?

Thanks and hope everyone had a great holiday and a safe upcoming one!

Thanks Chris, that looks awesome, you did a very very fine job!  Very much progress over the last ones!  Thank you!  I know you are finishing working out any final bug reports before your release.  But I will put in my request for the next betas after that and ask for some way to setup recordings through the MVP now that you have a GUIDE!

Lookin real good bud!  Thanks again!

VOMP General / MVP / Dongle 0.0.10 Issues
September 11, 2005, 00:12:16
Sorry it took so long to post this, been out of town.  But since the changes with Dongle 0.0.10, have not tried 11 that just came out but doesn't appear there is any other changes besides widescreen stuff.  But I get the channel listing now but am getting Unavailable channel on all of my channels.  This wasn't happening on 0.0.9.  Just let me know what you would like me to check.

Thanks

VOMP General / MVP / Dongle 0.0.9 Issues
August 29, 2005, 23:27:28
Thanks Chris for the update!  Just giving my North American 2 cents hehe!

Channel List is DEFINATLEY Faster thanks!
I see the implementation you are doing for the guide data.  My question is how you are doing it.  Are you just syncing with the VDR EPG or how are you going about it?  Reason I ask is I am just showing NULL's for the info, and if i hit the RED button to show the 24 hour, it crashes the client.

Is it possibly a size thing again?  I know my EPG is about 15mb in size! :)  I don't think that is it, cuz I deleted my epg.data and let it rebuild and tried while it was small and still shows NULL.

Thanks as always.

VOMP General / MVP / Now what!
August 23, 2005, 15:28:54
Now that you have accomplished fixing the recording playback etc.  What are you working on next?  How hard would it be to implement OSD or a Timeline for when you Pause etc.  And what would be involved in some sort of Guide implementation to sync with the VDR EPG.  I know you put the OSD in there for a reason.  Just didn't know what was involved in getting the sync to take place.

Thanks again for all you have done and all your efforts to make it work for everyone.  It works great with VDR 1.3.30 and playback on recordings is now flawless.

Just wanted to start by saying out of the 3 I have played with so far, MVPServer, VDR-MediaMVP and Vomp, this is by far the better looking and seems to be more stable application.  Thanks for the time and effort into the project.

My questions are, that I haven't found out yet, is do you plan on implementing MPlayer support like the other Plugins/Servers have so that we can play back AVI's etc though the plugin by chance, even incorporate with the MP3/MPlayer plugin or whatever.  I am no programmer so I don't know how involved it would be.  And lastly, where does the plugin pull its channels.conf list from?  I see channels, but they aren't all there.  Was just curious to know where it gets the information from.

Also I am like the others, that my VDR Recordings are blotchy every few seconds.  If you need any information on debugging that let me know.

Thanks again for your great product.
