it seems that you're using UTF-8 encoding. With vdr it is usable since 1.5.xx. VOMP uses like (most) earlier vdr version latin-1 encoding.

sun has edited the config settings by hand and switched the "Power After Boot" option back to its default value yes.

Probably it would be better to disregard this setting in the Vomp for Windows client.

First, can you watch recordings? I cannot watch the analog channels, but can watch recordings. It's just an idea.

Second, have you ever tried to make a telnet connection to the box and restart vompclient in debug mode via

killall -9 vompclient
vompclient -d

Probably the debug messages can help to solve your problem

Matthias' problem occurs on my box, too. I'm using vdr version 1.3.4x with a new remote. Even telnetting the box and starting the client with 'vompclient -d' didn't give me any hint to solve the problem.

@avvdr: Please separate your patches concerning OpenSUSE 's path structure from the rest. It would it make it much easier to get your patches to work.

Hi Friedhelm,

I'm sorry, but after the patch the crosstool compiled successfully. Afterwards I compiled the client with Chris' script, only leaving the crosstool out.

By the way I am using gcc 4.1.2 on my system. It's based on a OpenSUSE 10.2.

I hope, that you will solve your problem.

BTW in the man-page of the crosstool-gcc "-mnew-mnemonics" options is mentioned like in the system-gcc.

Just a question: Did you move the old crosstool away, e.g. by renaming the crosstool-directory?

There is a bug in the crosstool environment. Unpatched it will only accept gcc up to version 4.0.xx. There is only a small patch needed to get it to work.

It is a bug in the crosstool-patches for gcc-3.4.5-glibc-2.2.5. They work only with gcc-versions < 4.1. Have a look at a patch with "gcc" and "4.0" in its name. There is a expression like 4.0*. Substitute it with 4.* or 4.[012]*. I am not sure, whether this kind of pattern matching is used. You should give it a try. After the modification of the patch crosstool builds fine.

thanks to Chris and macfly. Sounds like I had to apply this patch for the longest time. Integration into CVS would be great. I have to try the audioselection in the evening.

@Chris: Integration of the Pompase's WOL-patch would be great, too.

Hello macfly,

your patch works great, but I had to patch it. In the case, that there are no marks for your recording, the plugin sends now a mark at the beginning of the recording (a zero). Without my patch the client, not the box,  freezes.

Hi,

I've tried to get the timers to work together with my vd 1.3.36.

First, there does not exist an any Active(void) method on class cTimer anymore. It is now called Flags.

I've changed it. After the editing the plugin did compile again, but pressing the Timers menu item results in a crash of the vdr.
It restarts and the client states e.g.:

22:38:47.394143 [ERR]    TCP - Detected connection closed


Btw. I would translate "Timers" into "german" "Timer". It's not german actually, but common known angelism.

Has anyone an idea to solve this problem?

Hi,

the screenshot was made via the xine-plugin from my vdr.

In fact the teletext analog and via DVB-T are identical. Additionally there is a MHP Stream on the DVB-T Channel.

BTW

The osdteletext plugin uses a kind of teletext server which caches the pages on the vdr. So you are able to read a teletext page of a different channel or access the pages very fast. Unfortunatly there is no TOP videotext implemented.
Couldn't we use this server too?
