Just saw on the git repository a new jsonserver for VDR. Can someone tell/ explain me what's about this? Is his a predecessor for the standard Vomp server?

It's nothing really to do with vomp and won't be replacing any part of vomp.
At the moment it's a personal project that I'm just playing with. The server side is so generic though that I put it on the public git web site just in case anyone wanted to use it for something.
