Is this a known "problem" that all my settings in the option-menu do not "stick", but immediately revert to default when I go back in menu? For examle language settings. Otherwise exceptionally great piece of free software :) :) :)
This is a problem with the permission of the vompserver config directory on the server side. If you use ct vdr probably /var/lib/vdr/plugins/vompserver needs owner and group vdr.

Great, thanks ! Works now. One more thing: Is it possible to get the "funky" finnish letters like ö ä working? Now I get just some funny characters instead of the finnish letters. Is it something character encoding related? I tried to change the language to suomi, but it seems it doesn't help (or I'm still missing something).
They should work (here in germany we have öäü as well), but you have to set some environmanet variable (charset overide?)in the vdr startup skript to select the right encoding for the characters on the server.
