Are these in the pipeline?

I am having trouble with vdr-sxfe with timeouts on my network (I am using homeplugs, and sometimes the timings are scatty which aborts xineliboutput with seg faults, although we're trying to fix it.) but vompclient seems to work.

However I have a PPC iBook G3 which I want  to use to watch VDR, but with a remote..

It's not exactly in the pipeline yet, but I would like to look at making a linux version. As for Mac, you are the first to mention it, but once a linux version is available maybe it will be easier to port to Mac. (By someone).

@Chris
Just one tip for linux. On linux gstreamer exists a framework, that is comparable to DirectShow that is used in the windows port.
It might be worth checking, because it will provide also the syncing of the audio and video, so it might be better than using a player or a simply a lib.
(I have personally no experience with it, but I think it can be  a good concept, but you have to check this in detail)
