The current libcec in raspbian does not support hdmi cec for raspberry pi.
Attached are custom build debian packages, that you can install to have libcec support for the hdmi port of your raspberry pi.

And here the binary packages.. you need to install with dpkg -i at least libcec1 and libcec-dev

Hi! It's kinda necroposting, but i just want to thank you for this! The issue with libCEC2 is still present (Jan 12, 2014!) and XBMC can't be built with CEC support on Raspbian! Thanks to you i wasn't wasting my time to find valid sources of libCEC1.8 and build it
The sad thing is that I tried to contact them, offering patches on libcec.
But the maintainers never answered....
